ASME Pressure Vessels and Tanks

Goodhart Sons, Inc. is an ASME board-certified designer, fabricator and installer in possession of our ASME Section XIII, Division 1 U and R stamps. Whether the material requirement is standard carbon steel, various types of stainless steel, hastalloy, monel, C20, inconell or any other exotic high-nickel alloy, Goodhart Sons, Inc. has the expertise and experience to design, fabricate and install a variety of different types and sizes of tanks and vessels.  Over the years we have worked on numerous pressure vessels and tanks with wall thickness from ¼” to over 2”.  We have worked with vessels that range in 6” diameter to over 15’ diameter.

Our engineering department utilizes the latest software for pressure vessel design and data sheet preparation. Our in-house detailers prepare shop drawings, general arrangements , erection drawings, etc.

Our fabrication process involves the use of state of the art cutting, burning, rolling, forming and welding equipment inclusive of submerged arc welding equipment.    We have over 175,000 square feet of production space and 24’ under the hook of our various overhead crane systems.

Our quality control department implements in-house  and customer-required hold points as well as initiates in-process and final inspections so that all requirements of the code are met or exceeded. We work with a number of 3rd party inspectors as required by the stringent requirements of the ASME code.

Our installation services department will travel across the country or abroad to provide the rigging expertise, millwright work, pipefitting and electrical installation requirements to install our fabricated tanks and vessels as well as an array of other OEM equipment

Further, Goodhart Sons, Inc. also has the ability to design, fabricate and install to API 650, and API 653 standards, International Building Code, SMACNA Ductwork Construction Standards, AWWA Welded carbon steel tanks for Water Storage and AISC construction standards.
